Stevo Simple Boy’s Partner Brenda Exposes the Struggles Behind the Fame

Brenda, the partner of Kenyan recording artist Stevo Simple Boy, has opened up about the stark difference between his public image and his private reality.

Speaking during an interview with Betty Kyallo on TV47, Brenda revealed that while many Kenyans see Stevo as a successful artist enjoying brand deals and fame, few know the hardships he has endured behind the scenes.

Behind the Public Image

“To be honest, they don’t know how Stevo lives,” Brenda said, recalling the shock she felt during her first visit to his home.

She admitted she initially thought he might have taken her to a different house to hide his real living conditions. “When I first walked in, I wondered if maybe he had another house and brought me here so I wouldn’t know. But this was his real home,” she recalled.

Despite his rising profile and numerous endorsements, Brenda found Stevo living in severe financial strain.

Exploitation and Betrayal

According to Brenda, Stevo’s struggles stemmed from exploitation by his management, who controlled his earnings and allegedly left him with nothing.

“Do brands not pay him? They do. But the people around him didn’t even leave him a small percentage,” she explained.

She added that the management even attempted to create rifts between her and Stevo’s family to tighten their control.

When Stevo finally cut ties with them, the reality of the exploitation became clear. “By the time he left them, he checked his account and found only 18 shillings,” Brenda revealed.

Starting Afresh

Determined to stand by him, Brenda helped Stevo take back control of his life and career. She described him as a hardworking man who had been “misused” but is now on a path of rebuilding.

Today, the couple is slowly recovering and moving forward, with Brenda confident that better days are ahead.

Her testimony sheds light on the hidden vulnerabilities of artists, reminding fans that the glamour of fame often masks deeper struggles.
