CS Kagwe´s unknown relationship to Kagwe Mungai exposed (Video)

Kenya´s Health CS, Mutahi Kagwe has confirmed reports that rapper, Kahush is his son, before disclosing his unknown relationship with Afro Pop artist, Kagwe Mungai.

Social media went wild after the UK-based rapper hinted that the Health CS was his dad, reports that went unconfirmed by the CS himself.

However, CS Kagwe just confirmed the reports during his morning interview on Citizen TV Kenya.

Kahush is my youngest son. He´s a first year student at Nottingham University in the UK. He is also a rapper and a good one too and I listen to his music sometimes Mi Siwezi.

The Health CS clarified that it was not in his place to dictate to his children who they need to become or what they need to do in future.

According to him, as long as there is talent and discipline, then that is all that matters.

Kagwe Mungai

On an interesting note, the Health CS indicated that singer and music producer, Kagwe Mungai is his nephew.

In our family, we have got musicians – Kahush is one, Kagwe Mungai my nephew is the other one.  We have good golfers – Mutahi, Njoroge and Kagwe. Who knows what the next one would do?

For him, it did not matter what venture an individual took up or showed interest in, for as long as there is talent, the Health CS said parents can only support.

Speaking of his Gerrit rendition that has been doing the rounds, CS Kagwe not only appreciated the creative talents in the local entertainment scene but also admitted to listening to some of these creative pieces.

I´m not that creative but I think Kenyans are creative and I enjoy the humor. I think life is tough enough, if you can laugh, then do so. I know there is a ´Special´, ´If you behave nomareee´, ´Gerrit´…I mean it means the message is understood.

Reports have been rife that Health Cabinet Secretary (CS), Mutahi Kagwe had one of his sons venture into the music industry, who has now confirmed it.

This came as unconfirmed reports after the now-popular face on our TV screens, Mr Kagwe saw individuals dig into his personal and family life.

Born Kahu Mburu Mutahi, the rapper is not new in the artistic industry having produced a couple of hits and known for his talent in the hip hop music genre.

Stage name, Kahush has finally admitted that he is indeed the son to the Health CS during his recent interview with NRG radio.

Many would wonder how he has not been involved in numerous scandals, left, right and center, considering he is a secular artist and a celebrity kid.

Turns out he lives in England where he became popular after his viral hit Mi Siwezi.

Either way, we must admit that the young lad is humble.

This elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans who admitted rap music must run in the family´s blood especially after CS Kagwe´s rap mix of ´You can gerrit´ went viral.

Education background

Away from his music, Kahush is actually an IT student in Leicester, UK having developed a system that senses motion and manages light in a room.

This was in a bid to prevent the common habit where one walks out of a room and forgets the light on.

So soon as the Lighting and Motion Sensor System detects motion, it either puts on or switches off the lights.

Regards his music, the Kenyan-born rapper told a local media outlet that he looks up to Khaligraph Jones, Sauti Sol and Magix Enga, hoping to sharpen his music skills.

Recognizing I can make art that could live, be remembered and affect someone is what inspired me. I´d say I´m influenced by Jason Kalinga, J Cole, Thugger, Uzi, Santi, SZA and TNT. I look up to Sauti Sol, Khaligraph Jones, Magix Enga and Lupita Nyong´o.
