Ex-porn addict Mwakazi reveals how he got hooked: I was introduced by my classmate who lied to me

Former Citizen TV news anchor Johnson Mwakazi has opened up on his fight against porn addiction saying that he was first introduced by a classmate. He was only in class eight.

“I was in class 8 and my friend suggested that we go watch a film adding that he would pay for it. I did not know what kind of film it was but I followed him anyway. I found out later that the film my friend had offered to pay for me was actually pornography after that I  also looked for a friend of mine and decided to pay for him so that he could watch,” he said.

He added: “The first day I watched pornography I was afraid to even look my mum in the eye. In form 1 is when one teacher stood in class and advised us that watching such films is a sin.”

Effects

Mwakazi, who went to rehab and is now clean, shared in the Radio Jambo interview that men should totally avoid pornography because it has some really bad effects, including, breaking marriages.

“As a man when you watch pornography yes you will get aroused but it is not normal. Every time you arouse yourself through pornography you become an animal. We are told that everyone who has faith practices it through his actions whether in the morning, at noon or at night. To my fellow men if you have been watching porn ran away from it. Marriages are breaking and people are losing jobs. The only way to clear a man’s mind is to stay away from such.” he said.

Johnson Mwakazi lands a new job two years after the TV station he was working for shut down

Johnson Mwakazi left a prime job at Citizen TV at the peak of his career and joined a startup Fountain Media Group Ltd – the umbrella media house for WTV.

Mwakazi served as CEO of WTV for three years before all hell broke loose. Fountain Media shut down in December 2016 after it failed to meet the cost of running operations.

So 50 employees including Mwakazi all lost their jobs as Fountain Media Group Ltd failed to recover from its financial woes.

Johnson Mwakazi would beg to defer having ended up being a slave to blue movies after he pandered too much. His confession would save other lost souls.

Four years after Mwakazi opened up, another journalist has stepped forth to confess about his pornography and masturbation addiction.

“I’m a former pornography and masturbation addict, close to 15 years! I said it! Yeah! This goes out to all addicts, i’ts possible! One day at a time, trusting in Jesus,” Fredrick Muitiriri wrote.
