The Reason Manzi Wa Mombasa Named Her Son After Brian Chira
Manzi Wa Mombasa recently shared her reasons for naming her son after the late TikToker Brian Chira, who passed away on March 16, 2024, and was buried on March 27 in Ingitei village, Githunguri, Kiambu County.
In an interview with SPM Buzz, she explained that she wanted to honor Chira’s memory, as he had no children to carry on his name. She revealed that she conceived her son through IVF, as she exclusively dates women, and emphasized her commitment to her identity.
To fund the IVF procedure, she sold a piece of land for KSh 600,000 and added the remaining amount needed. Her primary motivation was to have a baby boy to name after Chira. She expressed gratitude to Chira’s grandmother, who has warmly embraced the child and shown her support.
Despite being part of the LGBTQ community, Manzi Wa Mombasa stated her intention to raise her children as straight, citing her own experiences and beliefs.
She also opened up about her past, sharing that traumatic experiences with men led her to date women. These included being gang-raped at 16, which resulted in a pregnancy, and being abandoned by the father of her second child. These events shaped her decision to stay away from men and focus on her own path.
