UDA Opens Registration for 2027 Aspirants’ Forum

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has formally opened the registration process for party members intending to contest elective seats in the 2027 General Election.

This marks an early step in preparations for internal party nominations.

In a notice issued to party members, UDA invited all qualified and interested aspirants to register for the UDA Aspirants’ Forum.

This platform will play a central role in shaping how the party conducts its nominations ahead of the next polls.

According to the party, the forum will be responsible for deliberating on and implementing mechanisms aimed at ensuring free, fair, and transparent party nominations.

This process has increasingly come under public scrutiny in past election cycles.

Registration Opens January 21, 2026

The online registration portal will go live on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, and will be accessible through the party’s official website, www.uda.ke.

All aspiring candidates seeking to fly the UDA ticket in 2027 are required to register through the portal and pay a non-refundable registration fee, depending on the seat they intend to contest.

Aspirants’ Forum Fee Structure

The party has outlined the following registration fees:

  1. Member of County Assembly (MCA): KSh 2,000
  2. Member of National Assembly (MP): KSh 5,000
  3. Women Representative: KSh 5,000
  4. Senator: KSh 5,000
  5. Governor: KSh 10,000

All fees are non-refundable.

Key Forum Meeting Set for February

UDA has also confirmed that all registered aspirants will be invited to attend the UDA Aspirants’ Forum meeting on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, to be held at State House, Nairobi.

The meeting is expected to set the tone for the party’s nomination roadmap and offer aspirants clarity on rules, timelines and expectations ahead of the 2027 election season.
