Hassan Joho was sworn in as Mombasa governor yesterday August 22nd<\/sup> at a ceremony that was held at Mama Ngina Drive. The governor\u2019s kids were present to witness their dad take out of office.<\/p>\n

Joho was re-elected governor after he got 221,363 votes (64.94%) defeating Jubilee\u2019s Suleiman Said Saleh Shahbal and Wiper Hassan Omar Hassan who got 69,429 votes (20.37%) and 43,790 votes (12.85%) respectively.<\/p>\n

Nasa principals Raila odinga and Musalia Mudavadi flew to Mombasa to attend Joho\u2019s inauguration ceremony. Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and Nyali MP Mohammed Ali were also in attendance.<\/p>\n

Also present were Joho\u2019s two adorable kids; it was the first time the Mombasa governor\u2019s son and daughter were attending a public function with their dad.<\/p>\n
