Kiambu Women Representative Gathoni Wa Muchomba shocked the country when she boldly stated on NTV that she wanted to be paid better.<\/p>\n

Gathoni strongly opposed Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) bid to slash lawmakers\u2019 salary from Kes 710,000 to Kes 621, 250 per month.<\/p>\n

Well, Gathoni ate the humble pie, she issued a statement apologizing for supporting pay rise for MPs and promised to abide by SRC salary scales without questioning after public outrage and petition to remove her.<\/p>\n

Kiambu voters have however refused to be taken for a ride judging from the comments posted after Gathoni Wa Muchomba issued her apology.<\/p>\n
