Award-winning gospel songstress Emmy Kosgei has released a new jam where praising of Eliud Kipchoge who made head headlines recently after running a full marathon in a record time of 1:59:40.<\/p>\n

The song titled Champion,<\/em> also pays homage to other Kenyan athletes who have flown Kenya’s flag high in past races that were held inside and outside the country.<\/p>\n

In the song, Emmy describes them as people who bring love and joy to the universe adding that they have also played a big part in uniting people across the world.<\/p>\n

This jam is such a beautiful composition and in my opinion it couldn’t have come at a better time seeing as Mashujaa Day – the day we’ve set aside to celebrate our heroes – is around the corner.<\/p>\n

The other thing that struck me about this song was how Emmy switches from her native Kalenjin language to English and vice verse. Although I could not understand the former, I still felt like it was a vibe.<\/p>\n

Her vocals were also dope. She this beautiful coarse voice that I can’t get enough of. The beat and instrumentation on this jam was also on point. Generally speaking, it is a dope song that might just get good traction.<\/p>\n
