Funniest comedian in Africa, Eric Omondi is now shining in his own light, but what most people don\u00b4t know, is that he has had his dark times too.<\/p>\n

Depression, he has revealed, is a phase everyone who graces the limelight unexpecting, goes through. He did too but fortunately, Churchill came in as his mentor, and saved him at the brink of \u00b4death\u00b4.<\/p>\n

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Citizen TV\u00b4s Lilian Muli he revealed that he once got thrown out by his landlord, for lack of rent.<\/p>\n

After my house was locked 3 to 4 times (by the landlord) and everything confiscated, I asked Churchill for advice and he told me to get a manager and save money.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Days he would \u00b4crush\u00b4 at his friends place for not just a night, but for a whooping 6 months due to financial struggles.<\/p>\n

I crashed at a friend\u00b4s house in Highrise estate for 6 months until I got the Ksh 1 Million.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

At one point, he earned himself a whooping Ksh 1 Million, as his first and he almost dished it all out on a Mercedes ride.<\/p>\n

When I got my first million, I wanted to buy a Mercedes Benz but Churchill told me to chill. He asked \u00b4aren\u00b4t you the same guy who did not have rent just 2 m0nths ago? Why are you forgetting so fast?\u00b4 Then he told me \u00b4jipange\u00b4 and I took the advice until today. I was lucky enough to be mentored by Churchill and to give me direction.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fortunate enough, Churchill sat him down just before his decision came to be and forewarned him about luxury at the expense of \u00b4basic needs.\u00b4<\/p>\n

So he gave up the Mercedes \u00b4dream\u00b4 for investment that he does not regret till date because through that discipline, he is where he is, stable and thriving.<\/p>\n

Eric cautions celebrities against\u00b4conforming\u00b4 to societal standards which are just not their level expressing:<\/p>\n
