When we talk about music, I believe it is all about making you feel better. Music keeps you entertained, helps in making you understand some things from a different aspect.<\/p>\n

Anyhow, in African we have our own way of doing music be it based on tradition or today’s modernity.<\/p>\n

Lately, as a continent, we have created our own niche in the world of music.\u00a0 How? Our artists have made names by going international in terms of production, lyrics, and delivery,<\/p>\n

Well, a good example is how Nigerian music with the likes of Yemi Alade, Teni, Chidinma, Mr. Flavor, Davido, Tiwa Savage , Burna Boy among others have clinched their places in the international market.<\/p>\n

EP Focus<\/h4>\n

Learning and acquiring new ways to make new music and at a faster rate is through doing Extended Plays(EP). Extended Play is famously known as an EP.<\/p>\n

An Ep ideally is a series of three to six different tracks combined. They are a bit different from an album that can have up to 12 songs.<\/p>\n

For a while now we have noticed that most artists from Nigeria are now focusing on doing Eps than full albums.<\/p>\n

Reason?Maybe because it is cheaper and can be done faster. Furthermore considering the widespread of Gengetone in Kenya that in some way crippled the presence of Nigerian music on our airwaves.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Clearly this comes as an eye-opener for Kenyan artists that instead of overspending on albums why not adopt the Ep for some of their music.<\/p>\n

I mean maybe this can reduce the struggle of trying to find means for album launches that are proving rather expensive for some.<\/p>\n

Or rather it will help them with reachability I mean, for me I would want to listen to an EP that has 3 songs that are big bangers that buy a whole album that I will skip almost 8 of the songs all in the name of supporting\u00a0 Kenyan music.<\/p>\n

What if the EPs are made popular?<\/p>\n
