Being a Sunday, I called them for a meeting. They narrated to me about two of their family properties that they have occupied since 1974. Sadly, they have been living under constant threats lately from cartels who want to grab their land. They had reported the matter to the area chief who had proven to be uncooperative. The chief had ordered them to deposit with him the original Title Deed by 10:00am today, allegedly over a debt against the title of Ksh.350,000. Strangely, the family has never borrowed against the Title, neither have they ever guaranteed a loan,\u201d Sonko wrote in part.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11951\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11951\" style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/09\/chi2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11951 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/09\/chi2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"528\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/09\/chi2.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/09\/chi2-300x165.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/09\/chi2-768x422.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11951\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">EACC officers inspects the money that the chief took as bribe<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Nairobi governor advised the Dhanjals to report the matter to EACC who laid a trap to bust the corrupt Highridge chief.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI advised them to report the matter this morning to the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC), who provided officers to accompany them to meet the chief.
