Kambua still calls her son, a \u00b4miracle baby.\u00b4 When she least expected it, when she had probably given up, and when medical aid had become too much, God lifted her up.<\/p>\n

Speaking of societal pressures and expectations soon as the vows are pronounced, Mama Nate shared:<\/p>\n

I feel like as soon as a wedding ends. There are expectations of when you will start a family and of course, society piles the pressure on the woman, especially to conceive.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Friends<\/h2>\n

For most conversations while with her female friends, the discussion was more often than not centered around their children.<\/p>\n

As such, she would seclude herself, because the pressure was just too much for her. She opened up to Parents magazine:<\/p>\n

You realize as the years go by, that you have less in common to talk about because their children become the focal point of conversation. It triggered and magnified my pain.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It broke her to bits. But she learnt to accept her friends\u00b4 children and relate with them, hardly did she know she was being prepared for what was to come.<\/p>\n

It really healed a part of me because I loved them and they loved me back. It helped me not to break and to make peace with the fact that children come in all sorts of ways.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Her inner circle helped her to maintain sanity and stay positive in the face of trolls regarding her childlessness.<\/p>\n

Every visit to the doctor always gave the same results – it was negative.<\/p>\n

Kambua added:<\/p>\n

I changed my prayer for God to bless me in the way that he chose to.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

After much trial and error, Kambua and Jack sought other ways to bear children, including specialized infertility counsel from experts.<\/p>\n

The Light<\/h2>\n

But before anything happened, before the egg donation and in-vitro fertilization consultations, God shone light on her path.<\/p>\n

One day after the Rauka show, still feeling a little under the weather, I started thinking of the possibility of being pregnant because I had stopped keeping track of my ovulation days.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I had become so obsessed and it was very emotionally draining. I figured it wouldn\u00b4t hurt to take a test, and since we had tried so many times before, I had several test kits in the house.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yes, it tested positive, but she had mixed feelings about it. Not really sure of the results, but also subtle joy that her day had come.<\/p>\n

She later shared the news with her hubby in the evening and they sought the doctor\u00b4s counsel the next day, confirming she was actually expectant.<\/p>\n

Kambua recalled:<\/p>\n

After we told her that we\u00b4d gotten a positive result, she explains that she had seen cases like ours before and that even with different fertility stories, ultimately God still works miracles.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
