The song dubbed Karibia<\/em>, which is a Swahili word that means ‘come closer’, has been ruling the airwaves since it was came out a few hours ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it.<\/p>\n I honestly do not know what to make of this track which is the 1oth single off Fena Gitu’s Unleashed<\/em> album because it is different from her previous releases.<\/p>\n Also read: Kenyan female musicians should put in more work in 2020<\/a><\/p>\n Part of me feels that it lacks the zeal that we have come to know the 29-year-old musician for while at the same time I feel it will grow in me with time.<\/p>\n You see, we are not used to Fena Gitu making such slow songs that seem like love ballads but I have to commend her for trying out a different sound.<\/p>\n That said the lyricism on this jam is on point. The other thing that I really love about Fena Gitu, other than her lovely voice of course, is how she expresses herself in her music.<\/p>\n The beat and instrumentation by Ilogos Music are so impeccable. Although I am not sure that this is the kind of jams that one can dance to, after listening to Karibia I know you’ll agree me that it’s catchy.<\/p>\n I absolutely love the video for this jam. It’s such a masterpiece if you ask me. Everything is on point, from the styling, the scene transitioning and general execution.
