DJ Pierra Makena flew into the country this month and had to go on a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine before interacting with their loved ones.<\/p>\n

14 days might sound like something easy to do until you actually go through them, each day at a time.<\/p>\n

Known for her prowess in the male-dominated deejaying art, Ms Makena is also a mother to a young daughter.<\/p>\n

The two share a bond that stands the test of time and few hours spent away from each other is like torture for them.<\/p>\n

Countdown<\/h2>\n

It was just day 3-4 of her self-quarantine and it seemed like eternity for the disk jockey.<\/p>\n

The anxiety is not cool.
\nYesternight i didn’t sleep a wink. Was getting really anxious.. just waiting to feel any symptoms and sometimes feeling almost all of them only in the mind.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So she decided to engage her online fans in an InstaLive session to probably calm her mind and it sure worked for the better.<\/p>\n

My day 5….not sooo bad..i think the fact that i was live online interacting with people made it easy to deal.
\nGetting there a day at a time… ????????<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Day 6 went pretty smooth but day 7 worked on her nerves. All the celebrity DJ could say was:<\/p>\n

God give me peace..<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As time went by, day 8 clocked in and she decided to get some fresh air, stepping out of the four walls and chilling at her balcony.<\/p>\n

“Lately my spirit has been telling me to lay low and be patient” the female DJ admitted, promising to take each day as it comes.<\/p>\n

Day 9, the DJ engaged her mind in what she does best – spinning the disk – challenging fans to throw any music genre her way and she would smash it.<\/p>\n

Been keeping busy in my house……working on my set up to do a live party!!! Ya’ll ready? What Genre do you think i should play?? Try me?<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

However, her mind could not just keep off her young daughter who felt so far, yet so near.<\/p>\n

DJ Pierra opened up that all these days away from her daughter tore her apart the more.<\/p>\n

But with family by her side, it feels closer home for her.<\/p>\n

If you know me…you will know how much i love my baby.
\nBeing separated has been one of my worst nightmares.
\nI get anxious..i get sleepless nights….but i thank God for my family who are extremely supportive and assuring me everyday that all will be ok. 5 more days to go……
