Gospel hip-hop artiste has spoken his first following his release on 23rd of April morning.<\/p>\n

The popular rapper was arrested on the 19th of April mid-morning and placed under quarantine at the KMTC facility.<\/p>\n

He was allegedly transferred back to Kilimani police station in unclear circumstances.<\/p>\n

Fortunate enough, his request to get released and attend to his ailing wife were hears and was set free on 23rd April morning.<\/p>\n

Through Twitter, activist, Boniface Mwangi announced:<\/p>\n

Eko Dydda was released today. Thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to ensure he was released.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s make it the norm, to call out injustices when they happen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Interview<\/h2>\n

Speaking exclusively to Ghafla!, the musician confirmed he was home with family and that is what matters most.<\/p>\n

At the moment, I’m just happy that I am back home and I just wanna leave the rest in the past and focus on the future and the present which is me.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Eko revealed he received good treatment while locked up in the police cells at Kilimani and he remains thankful for that.<\/p>\n

When I was in, there were cops who gave me support, they even gave me their own sanitizers. Even at KMTC I was treated well and the entire time I was shown lots of respect.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He however declined to give further details in regard to his arrest and later release, stating that that is his past and he needs to focus on the now and the future.<\/p>\n

What’s in the past, is in the past. I just wanna treat people with love, and more respect than I ever did.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Thanking his online fans and followers for the love and support they showed, while he was locked up.<\/p>\n

I realized people really showed me love when I was in there. So now let’s just focus on the music and fighting Coronavirus.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On a different note, the artiste went ahead to promise fans more hits coming their way, having recently dropped ‘Oooyah’.<\/p>\n

There are already 2 new songs out on my YouTube channel, released last week, please watch and subscribe. Before my arrest, there were songs awaiting release and they will be up soon. I have so many projects I am working on at the moment.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

For him though, he clarified he was going to play the game his own way but promised many more releases even as the nation remains home.<\/p>\n

Mentioning he was not going to follow the online trend of IGLive concerts or album releases.<\/p>\n
