Let\u00b4s get straight to the point, anyone meeting their in-laws and especially for the first time, always feels uneasy.<\/p>\n<p>Why do we always assume that we need to be \u00b4perfect\u00b4 in this way or the other for us to be accepted into the new family? Just why?<\/p>\n<p>Well, probably answers to that come in many dimensions but I don\u00b4t like that feeling. I can only imagine.<\/p>\n<p>Wife to Kenyan comedian, Njugush had her fair share of awkward and embarrassing moments while meeting her in-laws.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_136259\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-136259\" style=\"width: 951px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/06\/Screenshot-2020-06-02-at-15.49.51.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-136259 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/06\/Screenshot-2020-06-02-at-15.49.51.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"951\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/06\/Screenshot-2020-06-02-at-15.49.51.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2020\/06\/Screenshot-2020-06-02-at-15.49.51-300x166.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 951px) 100vw, 951px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-136259\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Celestine Ndinda with her in-laws<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Better known as Wakavinye, the mother of one revealed that Njugush\u00b4s parents were so conservative, she would never be allowed to put on trousers in front of them.<\/p>\n<p>Born Timothy Kimani Ndegwa, the comedian\u00b4s dad was a clergy man and that only made things worse for the Kamba girl.<\/p>\n<p>This forced her to cover up her trousers in loose-fitting long dresses every time she visited her in-laws.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Trousers are a \u00b4no\u00b4. Kim\u00b4s parents do not like trousers. But I do not wear those tight ones, but when I wear a trouser, I wear something big on top. Something like a big dress top.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That wasn\u00b4t her only awkward moment. Mama Tugi divulged she did not understand how Njugush\u00b4s siblings would tell each other \u00b4I love you\u00b4 and it\u00b4s not like they are married. Weird. Celestine was that girl that never hugged her dad because it just didn\u00b4t feel right.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I started telling them \u00b4I love you\u00b4 recently.
