Ben Kitili and Amina Mude were had to fight against those that put religion ahead of love to actually get their marriage going. You see, Amina Mude is a Muslim. According to the Islamic faith, when it comes to a woman of the faith marrying a Christian or anything other than a Muslim,<\/p>\n

It can be argued that while his relationship and marriage was fought on faith-based arguments, Ben Kitili can relate to situations in which Kenyans are told they cannot marry members of specific ethnic communities. Amina Mude\u2019s decision to stand by her man is infact an important decision because it spoke to more than just her situation. It spoke to the pain many find themselves having to endure when faced with the dilemma of either choosing the person they love or their family. I for one am happy to say that in this case, Ben Kitili can say love won out.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

However, that doesn’t seem to hold any water when it comes to the decision of whether or not they would stay together but this history would give them both some pause for thought given how hard they originally fought to be together.<\/p>\n

Another reason why they will stay together is that Amina Mude is a Muslim. Who knew this fact would stand to save their marriage? If indeed Ben Kitili has a wandering eye, then he could always get 3 more wives and Amina’s religion permits it.<\/p>\n
