Jackie Chandiru is a talented Ugandan artist who is not only known in her country but also in East Africa! Some of her known songs are from her former song group Blu3 and Goldigga<\/em> that contributed to her success!<\/p>\n

But despite making it in the music business, Jackie Chandiru got hooked<\/a> on a painkiller, Pethidine that she was using to treat her back! And just like that, a harmless pill turned deadly after being misused!<\/p>\n

Speaking to Jalang\u2019o during a recent interview on YouTube, Ms Jackie opened up about the negative stories written about her; and the four times she was falsely killed on social media by fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was actually killed like four times; I don\u2019t even know because that time I was in hospital. I was in rehab and then somebody will say I have seen something on YouTube like \u2018RIP Jackie Chandiru we shall miss you\u2019. The internet killed me four times and I also tried to commit suicide four times.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She went on to add;<\/p>\n

\u201cMost of the time I was killed on the internet I was still in rehab. I was tired Jalas. I was tired of the rumours, tired of the stories\u2026 I\u2019m sure you have seen pictures of me, I didn\u2019t care about life, what I looked like anymore and I didn\u2019t want to exist anymore. I believed I was much better off dead.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Suicidal attempts!<\/h3>\n

Although the internet was killing her for the wrong reasons; Jackie Chandiru went on to reveal that there are times she wanted to end herself due to the problems she was undergoing.<\/p>\n

Battling an addiction that kept resurfacing after rehab became hard for Jackie! On the interview she went on to narrate about the suicidal demons she had to battle in order to stay alive! The now reformed Ugandan singer went on to open up about the drug she had been using saying;<\/p>\n

No person wakes up in the morning and say they want to be an addict, it\u2019s not a choice. But mine started as a health problem. Although I was warned before about that specific drug. I was told it\u2019s very addictive but it\u2019s a pain killer but because I had an injury I wasn\u2019t too sure, I was supposed to go for surgery and It was a 50\/50 chance that I would come out successful. So that was when I started with that drug, it became like a short cut for me, the pain was so much\u2026 I had a bad attack that hurt my back. So I was on Pethidine most of the time, I was always taking the drug. Its injected and I used to inject myself and by the time the addiction had grown, I used to inject myself past 20 times a day. This why I have all these scars on my hand\u2026 so all these stories that I was doing drugs were all lies.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
