It takes a lot of effort to be a successful artist. It requires interest, creativity and humility to become famous but this is something most Kenyan artists fail to understand.<\/p>\n

Just a few days ago we saw many come out to show Nyashinski support as he is competing against big names likes of Wizkid, Davido, Babes Woduma (South Africa), C4 Pedro (Angola) and Nasty C (South Africa) for the Best African act – but looks like some Kenyan fans are thinking and voting otherwise.<\/p>\n

We celebrate Nyahinski as our own and are proud he is representing Kenya. However many seem to be complaining that the fella has too much ego – in that he does not follow anyone on his Instagram since he is a star.<\/p>\n

Such moves are the reasons why you will find Kenyans at times opting to support music from other countries and not their own. And though this is not a good reason not to vote, it however wouldn\u2019t hurt for artists like Nyashinski to at least follow the likes of Nameless, Sauti Sol and many others who have been in the game with him since he began his music career.<\/p>\n

One hype master by the name of MC Jose sparked this debate on his Instagram page attracting comments from fans who think that Kenyan artists need to humble themselves in order for them to be lifted.<\/p>\n
