Betty Kyallo has opened up on everyday battles she fought during her prime days in the media industry, some that nearly took a toll on her.<\/p>\n

The beauty exited her former employer, K24 TV in a drastic move in May to focus and expand on her salon business, less than 2 years after her grand welcome into the station.<\/p>\n

However, her first home was KTN where she started as an intern during her college days before growing into a brand in the competitive media industry.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, despite her popularity and growth, Betty faced competition and intimidation from fellow colleagues.<\/p>\n

The hustle<\/h2>\n

Opening up during an online Q&A session with fans, the media sensation admitted;<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like this break that I took after resigning was very important because it has really made me hustle hard!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to her, walking out of a monthly pay cheque taught her self-reliance and being able to handle herself.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost of us love employment, to get cushioned under a salary but when it is removed, then it becomes really really difficult to keep it going, to survive,\u201d she admits.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, clarified that the TV screens are not her place for now, she needs change.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re still thinking and weighing our options,\u201d she left it that.<\/span><\/p>\n

The intimidation<\/h2>\n

Until a curious fan asked about feeling intimidated in the media industry and Betty sure came clean stating;<\/p>\n

\u201cMost times I always felt that I was not good enough especially the first years on TV. I was a colleague to people who were doing so great, Cynthia Nyamai, Beatrice Marshall and I always felt intimidated.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes I would go on air and shrub, feel like I did not do my research enough. Many times I would go home and feel like I should have done better,\u201d she adds.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt used to be really hard and many times I would question whether I should be in this career, but somehow it happened,\u201d she continues.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, admitted that she is glad she went through that phase and is here because at times, you will need to fall and rise back up.<\/p>\n
