Funny man cum radio presenter Rapcha Sayantist; is among the lucky celebrities who managed to make it big in the entertainment industry. His success however comes after putting in extra hours, pro bono shows among other tough sacrifices he made along the way.<\/p>\n

Since his career in comedy did not seem to pay much; he managed to bag himself a radio gig that helped shape the man he has since become. Before the breakthrough, Rapcha says he faced another side of life that he believes most upcoming artistes in Kenya face.<\/p>\n

Apparently to make it in the entertainment scene, one has to have connections; if not, a person can go from being famous to being irrelevant overnight. For this reason, Rapcha now says this has to change – that is if we want to see the entertainment industry grow.<\/p>\n

Stand for the truth!<\/h3>\n

Having witnessed talented artistes from slum areas diminish as soon as they hit the lime light; Rapcha feels that those running the entertainment industry (i.e Churchill, Eric Omondi, Octopizzo – just to name a few) are sleeping on gifts that would help shape a better industry for the next generation.<\/p>\n

Through his IG page, Rapcha Sayantist wrote;<\/p>\n

A poor Kenyan artistes from the slums has a zero to 3% chance of making it on the current Kenyan Entertainment scene because the current scene celebrates \u2018Being American\u2019 not \u2018Being an artiste.\u2019<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He went on to write;<\/p>\n

This is why they MUST create an alternative mainstream for survival and respect.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
