Nyashinski needs millions of votes to win the coveted MTV EMA awards. The rapper has however received a big boost from president Uhuru Kenyatta.<\/p>\n

Nyashinski is the second Kenyan artist after Sauti Sol to be nominated for MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA). The flourishing rapper has been nominated in the same category \u2013 Best African Act which Sauti Sol won in 2014.<\/p>\n

The ‘Mungu Pekee’ hit maker is facing stiff competition from Nigeria\u2019s Wizkid and Davido, South Africa\u2019s Babes Wodumo and Nasty C and Angola\u2019s C4 Pedro, who have all been nominated for the same prize.<\/p>\n

Several Kenyan celebs have been marshalling their fans to vote for Nyashinski. He needs millions of vote to win the award considering Nigeria’s populations is four times bigger than that of Kenya.<\/p>\n

Uhuru votes for Nyashinski<\/h2>\n

President Uhuru says Nyashinski gave us a great song ‘Mungu Pekee’. The commander in chief asks all Kenyans to vote for Nyashinski.<\/p>\n

“I just voted for @RealShinski. He gave us a great song. ‘Namoogopa Mungu Pekee’. Let us all vote for him. #LondonIsOpe”, Uhuru Kenyatta tweeted.<\/p>\n
