The cruel hand of death has robbed Nyota Ndogo her music godfather. The singer is mourning the death of her mentor who introduced her to music and even gave her the stage name ‘Nyota Ndogo’.<\/p>\n

Nyota Ndogo reveals that the deceased was the one who discovered her music talent. She says her Caucasian mentor encouraged her to join music when she was still working as a houselp in Mombasa.<\/p>\n

I recorded ‘Watu na Viatu’ at his studio<\/h3>\n

Nyota reveals that she recorded her hit song ‘Watu na Viatu’ after being invited to the studio by her late mentor. She explains that she called the deceased while crying and he invited her to his studio to explain to him what was happening.<\/p>\n

The Coast-based singer got to the studio and decided to sing to ease the pain she was feeling. The deceased gave her beats as she was singing and just like that ‘Watu na Viatu’ come into existence.<\/p>\n

Nakumbuka wakati nilipompigia simu kumuambia nipo na mood mbaya huku nalia kwa simu akaniuliza kama naweza kuja tuongee. Nilipanda matatu mpaka ganjoni nikaanza kumueleza kinachonisumbua then nikamwambia nataka tuingie studio nataka kuimba. Akaniambia unsimba nyimbo gani? Nikamwambia hata sijui wewe nipe tu mic nirekodi nitoe uchungu wangu. Akanipa mziki basi mistari ya vesi ya kwanza ulikua free style. Ulikua inakwenda hivi. RAFIKI YANGU MPENDWA NAJA KWAKO SIKU NYINGI. WANIPOKEA KWAUZURI SIKU ZOTE. WAKATI SINA WANIPA NITAKACHO HUSITI NISEMACHO KWAKO SAWA WANIONBEA MUNGU. mpaka nikafika kwa ooh kuna watu na viatu duniani bado ulikua, free style. Huku naimba na kulia couse rafiki kanitenda.
