We all love a comeback story. Just when you were beginning to think that a particular person was done and dusted, they rebuild themselves and come back bigger and better mesmerizing their fans and haters alike.
\nAnd that\u2019s exactly what award-winning gospel artist Simon Peter, known to his fans as Hopekid, has done.<\/p>\n

A few years ago, the Holiday hit maker was dragged by social media users someone made unverified claims against him but somehow, he managed to rise above it all.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Today, he is helping to put a smile on the faces of children who are living with autism as the brand ambassador of Autism Lights Kenya \u2013 an organization that is working towards creating awareness about autism and enhancing the quality of life for children and families affected by it.<\/p>\n

Hopekid has been very instrumental in publicizing fundraisers that are held occasionally by Autism Lights Kenya and getting his fellow celebrities to not only speak about the events but also attend them where they get to interact with the children on a one-on-one basis.<\/p>\n

In the past, the gospel singer has helped bring on board notable public figures like; comedian Eddie Butita, Nicah The Queen, Mammito, Kriss Mmh Baba, just to name a few who visited different children\u2019s homes to put a smile on the faces of the little ones.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Just recently, on January 19th this year, the team was at Autism International in Thika where they not only gave donations to children living with the developmental disability but also raised more awareness about it.
\nAmong those in attendance were DK Kwenye Beat, Prince Jawabu, Hype Gad, Kriss Erroh, Blessed Ndinda, just to name a few. Photos that were shared by Hopekid and Autism Lights on Instagram showed them serving the children delicious meals and as you would expect, they could not stop smiling.<\/p>\n

These days, Hopekid is known for his charity work and everybody seems to have forgotten about the scandal that dogged him for months.
\nBut that\u2019s not all. On the music front, Hopekid continues to be a force to be reckoned with.<\/p>\n

At the moment, he is flying high with his latest jam \u2013 a collabo with Masterpiece dubbed Ni Final. It\u2019s really commendable what he has done with his brand and maybe, just maybe, Kenyan artists \u2013 especially those who have had scandals in the past – should learn a thing or two from him on how to keep their heads high after a scandal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
