It is those connections that managed to win his 1 year and half old company Aero Dispenser Valves a tender worth 600 million bob.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/03\/tender-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-193\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/03\/tender-2-300x227.jpg\" alt=\"KPC\" width=\"300\" height=\"227\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/03\/tender-2-300x227.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/03\/tender-2.jpg 608w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He would have got away with it but Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission somehow got wind of the grand scheme and halted the deal which was meant to supply aircraft refueling equipment for Nairobi\u2019s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>But not before more than 200 million had been transferred and withdrawn over the counter in just a span of 1 month.<\/p>\n<p>Also read:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/2017\/02\/03\/ghafla-chronicles-5-totally-bad-ass-things-akasha-brothers-allegedly-hit-clubs-number-3-especially-always-drives-girls-crazy\/\">Ghafla Chronicles: 5 Totally bad ass things the Akasha brothers allegedly do when they hit the clubs\u2026 Number 3 especially always drives the girls crazy!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I know, it feels like a blockbuster movie and if you come to think of it, it actually is.<\/p>\n<p>Just to put things into perspective, it started off by something called a \u201cJig inspection\u201d which was conducted at the airport. (A Jig is an acronym for Joint Inspection Group, an internationally recognized forum, where experts drawn from the aviation fuel supply industry come together to establish and improve standards for the safe handling and quality control of aviation fuels).<\/p>\n<p>It was after that inspection that KPC decided to purchase some exaggerated number of hydrant pit valves for the airport plus their spares.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/03\/tender-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-194\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/03\/tender-3-300x171.jpg\" alt=\"KPC\" width=\"300\" height=\"171\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/03\/tender-3-300x171.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2017\/03\/tender-3.jpg 610w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As John Kamau explained, Hydrant pit valves are used in aircraft fuelling and comprise a series of components for fuelling aircraft with sufficient pressure and flow to deliver piped fuel throughout an airport.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently there is nothing complex about them but in 2014, new valves had been installed at the airport costing Sh1.5 million each.
