The Ministry of Interior, which is responsible for issuing passports, says that it is committed to providing superior service to Kenyans and that the reduction in processing time is part of this commitment. The ministry also says that it is working to address the backlog of applications and that it expects to clear it within the next 21 days.<\/p>\n
However, Kenyans are skeptical about the government’s promises. Many have experienced delays in acquiring passports that have lasted for months or even years. Some have even been prevented from travelling for medical or education purposes due to the delays.<\/p>\n
