Being a celebrity is already a lot of pressure, but dating another celebrity adds another layer of complexity. Content creator Winnie Keranta knows this all too well.<\/p>\n
Keranta, 21, has been dating popular online comedian Flaqo Raz aka Mama Otis for three years. They went public with their relationship in February 2023.<\/p>\n
Keranta says that one of the biggest challenges of being a celebrity couple is the lack of privacy.<\/p>\n
“Sometimes public freedom can be a challenge because doing normal fun stuff, that normal couples do, might end up on the blogs in a manner that wasn’t intended,” she said.<\/p>\n
Another challenge is dealing with the constant scrutiny from fans and haters.<\/p>\n
“There are those who are genuinely happy for us and the \u2018mtaachana tu\u2019 clique of haters,” Keranta said.<\/p>\n
Despite the challenges, Keranta says that she and Flaqo are happy together and they are determined to ignore the negative energy.<\/p>\n
“To the keyboard warriors, I say, keep charging your phone and typing like the warriors you are,” she said.<\/p>\n
Keranta also shared her secret to a happy relationship: communication and trust.<\/p>\n
“Make your partner your best friend before anything else,” she said. “Another thing, do not use other peoples relationship as a reference.”<\/p>\n
Keranta has also had to deal with rumors about her personal life.<\/p>\n
“There are a lot of rumors about me,” she said. “Some never reach me but I once heard people say that I was seeing a white mubaba.”<\/p>\n
Keranta says that she ignores the rumors and focuses on her relationship with Flaqo.<\/p>\n
“I am happy and my union is thriving,” she said.<\/p>\n
