Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has criticized Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s proposal for dialogue with former President Uhuru Kenyatta. Kioni called the proposal disrespectful to Kenyatta, who has chosen to remain silent on political matters.<\/p>\n

Kioni also accused Gachagua of hypocrisy, pointing to his past insults of Kenyatta and his alleged involvement in the theft of sheep at Northlands.<\/p>\n

Gachagua has said that he wants to reconcile the country after the divisions caused by the 2022 general election. He has also said that he has asked everyone to accord Kenyatta respect.<\/p>\n

Kioni believes that Gachagua’s proposal for dialogue is a sign that the Kenya Kwanza coalition is facing political challenges. However, Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has said that the perceived rift between the President and Deputy President is a result of media creation.<\/p>\n
