Power outages are scheduled to affect several areas in five counties of Kenya on Tuesday, October 17, from 3:00 AM to 5:00 PM, according to a notice issued by the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) on Monday evening.<\/p>\n

The affected counties are Kiambu, Kajiado, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, and Mombasa.<\/p>\n

In Kiambu County, parts of Ting’ang’a and Ngemwa will be without power between 3:00 AM and 5:00 PM, while parts of Muthiga and Magana will be affected between 2:00 AM and 5:00 PM.<\/p>\n

In Kajiado County, parts of Ngong and Kibiko will be affected between 3:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Part of Bombolulu Street in Mombasa County will also be affected by the power cut.<\/p>\n

In Nyeri County, parts of Ichamara, Ngoru, Kiganjo, and Kirichu will lack electricity between 2:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Part of the town of Kutus and the area of KTI University will be affected by power cuts between 3:00 AM and 10:00 AM.<\/p>\n

KPLC has not provided a reason for the power outages, but it is likely that they are related to maintenance or repair work on the electricity grid.<\/p>\n
