Kenyan singer Kevin Kioko, known by his stage name Bahati, recently opened up about the reasons behind their postponed wedding.<\/p>\n
In a Q&A session with his wife Diana Marua on YouTube , the two lovebirds addressed fan questions regarding the delay.<\/p>\n
Bahati explained that their initial plans were disrupted by Diana’s priorities. She felt there were more important things to focus on for their grand wedding day, leading them to reschedule.<\/p>\n
Bahati then suggested April 1st as a new date, but this was also met with hesitation from Diana. She wasn’t comfortable getting married on April Fool’s Day.<\/p>\n
The back-and-forth led to a playful argument, with Diana questioning Bahati’s commitment if the proposed dates always conflicted with her commitments.<\/p>\n
Diana asked, ”Do you want to marry me or not?”<\/p>\n
Bahati responded;<\/p>\n
\nDo you want to be married by me or not?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
To move forward, they decided on a compromise \u2013 a special proposal dinner.<\/p>\n
\n“It should be an announcement,” Diana explained. “A romantic dinner, where he asks me properly, ‘Will you marry me?’ on a specific date.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
This seemingly resolved the issue, with both parties on the same page about a future proposal and wedding.1<\/p>\n
