Police stated they are investigating the former MP for unspecified issues, though no comment from Keter was available at the time of reporting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe tried to arrest him peacefully, but he resisted. He is under probe for some allegations among other issues,\u201d said an officer involved in the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Keter was arrested after leaving a church event in the Kileleshwa area. His family, present at the time, could be heard screaming for help. A pedestrian recorded the commotion, showing armed men in plain clothes pulling Keter from his Toyota V8 Land Cruiser before driving off in a Ford Ranger Double-cabin.<\/p>\n<p>Keter\u2019s handler later posted on his official Facebook page, &#8220;Abducted and taken to an unknown destination.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Korir Singoei condemned the incident, stating, \u201cThere is a procedure for effecting an arrest. This is not one of them. We must resist the temptation to adopt extra-legal means even in the pursuit of legitimate objectives,&#8221; he wrote on X.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyer Ahmedinasir Abdulahi criticized the street arrest as unacceptable, saying, \u201cThis is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. This isn&#8217;t one of the lawful processes\/procedures that allows law enforcement agencies to arrest a suspect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua also condemned the incident, saying, \u201cIt\u2019s getting worse by the day.
