Munyi left her 9-to-5 job five years ago to pursue content creation full-time.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the lucrative nature of content creation, Munyi notes that income can be inconsistent. She said, \u201cI might not know the exact amount I earned last year, but my assistant Nancy estimates it to be Sh10 million. However, being a content creator doesn\u2019t guarantee a steady income every month. The income is cyclical.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Before her content creation career, Murugi worked at British American Tobacco (BAT). She eventually quit because working in the same department as her husband became uncomfortable for them. The couple decided that she would leave the job since her husband\u2019s position was more lucrative.<\/p>\n<p>Afterward, Murugi joined RedHouse PR agency, where she earned a monthly salary of Sh200,000. Reflecting on that time, she said, \u201cIt was fantastic earning Sh200,000 with a financially stable husband. In a marriage, having a partner who provides financial security offers peace of mind.
