However, their relationship soured, leading to a restraining order against him.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:114\">Dida&#8217;s family alleges that he unknowingly violated the restraining order by visiting a mosque in a restricted area. They have appealed to the Kenyan government for help in securing his release.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:61\">&#8220;We are praying for him and trying to find ways to visit him, get another lawyer, and assist him. As a family, our resources are limited, and we need government intervention,&#8221; said a family member.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"11:1-11:225\">Dida was convicted of two charges in 2022 and sentenced to a total of nine years in prison.
