Kenya\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/bensoul-defends-his-friendship-with-cindy-k-his-ex-girlfriends-best-friend\/embed\/#?secret=xP4e5j75vo#?secret=KgYMvJIDIR\" data-secret=\"KgYMvJIDIR\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were many moments in my life that I can attribute to God\u2019s will and plan, but to single one out\u2026 there was a time I was ill, and I truly felt I might not survive,\u201d Bensol recounted.<\/p>\n<p>During this difficult period, his then-girlfriend ended their relationship due to his worsening health. \u201cHer family was concerned, thinking, \u2018This guy looks like he\u2019s dying; maybe he has AIDS,\u2019 since I had lost so much weight,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Bensol clarified that, contrary to those assumptions, he was actually battling tuberculosis (TB), a disease that had severely weakened him.<\/p>\n<p>As his health continued to decline, he had no choice but to return to his family home\u2014a decision that unexpectedly became a pivotal moment in his career.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was extremely thin\u2026 but I believe everything that happened was essential for my life. I\u2019d mentally record them in my head using the huskiest voice, and I ended up creating some amazing tracks,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n<p>This reflective and introspective approach to songwriting unlocked a new creative process for Bensol, which has become central to his music today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt revealed something within me, and I learned to write from my subconscious. Nowadays, when I go to the studio, I prefer not to write with loud music. I like finding a quiet place, visualizing the song, observing life around me, and getting the purest words from that,\u201d he elaborated.<\/p>\n<p>Bensol noted that while this unconventional method has yielded some of his best work, others in the industry sometimes struggle to understand it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI try to explain this to people and fellow artists, but they often don\u2019t get it.
