The alert, released at 1:28 AM, stated that the outage spared only parts of Western Kenya and the North Rift regions.<\/p>\n<p>The utility company acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the outage and assured its customers that efforts were underway to restore power. However, the cause of the blackout had not yet been determined.
