Anne Kansiime recently sparked discussions after revealing that she once covered her own dowry payment.<\/p>\n

The comedian and mother of one shared that she took this unconventional step to ease the burden on her late father, who frequently inquired about her marriage plans.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Uganda’s NRG Radio, Kansiime explained that since she was financially independent at the time, she decided to handle the dowry herself.<\/p>\n

“I was tired of my father reminding me to push my partner to pay. At that point, I was earning well and had even started a business. So, I figured, \u2018Let me just give Daddy this money so we can move on.\u2019 I kept urging my partner to pay, and when he eventually gave me the money, I paid it myself. After that, I stopped bringing it up, and he never mentioned it again. But that\u2019s in the past now,” she said.<\/p>\n

Despite the unconventional decision, Kansiime has no regrets.<\/p>\n

“Yes, I did it. Do I regret it? Not at all. Every experience has shaped who I am today, and now I have a story to tell. Besides, regretting things that have already happened doesn\u2019t change anything,” she said.<\/p>\n

Breakup Rumors with Skylanta<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Recently, speculation has been swirling on social media about a possible split between Kansiime and her husband, musician Skylanta. Fans fueled the rumors after she hinted at a new phase in her life.<\/p>\n

However, it was later revealed that she was teasing a new project. A cryptic post she shared read:<\/p>\n

“One day, somebody you sacrificed so much for will turn around and say they never asked for it, and it will hurt because they will be right.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The message led many to speculate about her relationship status. Addressing the rumors, Skylanta dismissed breakup claims and urged people not to jump to conclusions.<\/p>\n

“I came back online and found chaos\u2014fire on the mountain! I\u2019ve been trying to calm things down,” he joked.<\/p>\n

He added, “When we started this, none of you were there. Somehow, it became public, but none of you were involved. Anne and I know how to handle whatever is going on. She\u2019s happy, and I\u2019m happy. I don\u2019t see why people are attacking me.”<\/p>\n
