Avril Nyambura recently opened up about her break from music, explaining that she stepped back to focus on her business. In an interview with Trudy Kitui, the mother of one shared that managing her company has taken priority.<\/p>\n
“I haven\u2019t been as active because I started a business, and I need to take care of it. So far, so good. Music has always been a part of me\u2014I haven\u2019t quit. I also act,” she said.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on her journey, Avril noted that both her career and personal experiences have influenced her transformation.<\/p>\n
“I started singing in my second year of university. Over the years, I\u2019ve had to evolve, especially after becoming a mother. I\u2019ve been in the industry since I was 18, and now I\u2019m in my 30s.”<\/p>\n
Discussing her struggles, Avril admitted that online trolling has been one of her toughest experiences.<\/p>\n
“Being trolled for no reason is difficult. You never really get used to the insults,” she said.<\/p>\n
Avril revealed that she is currently single but open to new possibilities.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019m single and enjoying life. Those interested can send in their CVs,” she joked.<\/p>\n
She added, “We have great men. I\u2019ve dated before, but right now, I\u2019m not in a relationship.”<\/p>\n
In a previous interview with Ala C, Avril described motherhood as the most challenging journey she has ever undertaken.<\/p>\n
“The pressure, the stress\u2026 Mothers deserve respect,” she said.<\/p>\n
Recalling her early days as a mother, she shared:<\/p>\n
“When my son was a day old, it hit me that my life was no longer just about me\u2014it was about him. He completely depends on me. In the beginning, I was like a walking zombie from lack of sleep. Even now, I barely sleep because I still have my dreams to chase.”<\/p>\n
In a past conversation with Citizen Digital, Avril expressed her desire to have more children but acknowledged the financial burden of raising them.<\/p>\n
“They say only the rich are having kids these days because the cost of raising a child is overwhelming. But I\u2019d love to have two or three so my firstborn can have siblings,” she said.<\/p>\n
Before giving birth, Avril wrote a heartfelt message to her unborn child while at a local hospital. She later made a firm decision not to post her son online, allowing him to choose whether to be in the public eye when he turns 18.<\/p>\n
“I want him to have his own life. When he turns 18, he can decide if he wants to be in the limelight,” she explained.<\/p>\n
However, she made it clear that she does not judge parents who share their children\u2019s lives on social media.<\/p>\n
“I’m not criticizing anyone who chooses to post their kids online. But we need to remember that we are raising individuals who deserve privacy and the freedom to make their own choices. This is the path I have chosen for my son,” she concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
