Car dealer Khalif Kairo was arrested for the third time today at Milimani Law Courts, where he had appeared for the mention of three ongoing cases related to allegations of defrauding clients.<\/p>\n

Footage circulating online showed Kairo in a dark grey suit, handcuffed, yet maintaining high spirits as he was escorted by individuals believed to be police officers.<\/p>\n

Kairo\u2019s Response: A Promise to Rise Again<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Despite his legal troubles, Kairo remains optimistic, expressing his determination to overcome the setbacks.<\/p>\n

“Can\u2019t keep a man who is determined to win down. We will overcome everything. Keep praying for me, keep supporting, and keep wishing me well. It\u2019s a tough economy that doesn\u2019t favor youth-driven enterprises, lakini calm seas never make good sailors.”<\/em><\/p>\n

He also reflected on the lessons he has learned from his experiences.<\/p>\n

“I am happy that I have lost everything\u2014showrooms, staff, cars, almost my reputation, and went broke. Now sit back and watch as God restores everything, ndio uache kujipiga kifua (so you can stop thumping your chest in pride).”<\/em><\/p>\n

He has previously claimed that his legal troubles were orchestrated to strip him of his business, Kai & Kairo, but insists his spirit remains unshaken.<\/p>\n

On January 29, Kairo was charged with two counts of cheating, contrary to Section 315 of the Penal Code. The court granted him a cash bail of Ksh 1 million per charge, with an alternative bond option.<\/p>\n

One charge alleges that between July 10 and July 25, 2024, in Westlands, Kairo fraudulently induced a client to pay Ksh 2.1 million through his company, Kai & Kairo Limited, for the importation of a Honda Vezel Hybrid from Japan\u2014a car that was never delivered.<\/p>\n

A second charge states that between July 29 and November 16, 2024, he allegedly convinced another client to transfer Ksh 2.98 million into Kai & Kairo Limited\u2019s KCB bank account for a Subaru Outback, despite knowing the transaction was false.<\/p>\n
