Police Constable and popular Mugithi musician Samuel Muchoki<\/strong>, widely known as Samidoh<\/strong>, is reportedly facing disciplinary action after a video of him chanting \u201cWantam\u201d<\/strong> in a club went viral.<\/p>\n

The National Police Service (NPS)<\/strong> says Samidoh breached the Service Standing Orders (SSO)<\/strong> by publicly engaging in what they consider politically charged behavior while still serving as a uniformed officer. Disciplinary measures under consideration include a warning, fine, demotion, transfer, or even dismissal<\/strong> from the service.<\/p>\n

Despite an outpouring of support from fans, the NPS maintains that all officers must adhere strictly to the code of conduct.<\/p>\n

Transferred to Gilgil as a Disciplinary Move<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to a source who spoke to Nation Media<\/em> under anonymity, Samidoh\u2014who was previously based in Nairobi<\/strong>\u2014has been transferred to the Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU)<\/strong> headquarters in Gilgil<\/strong> as part of a disciplinary response to his actions.<\/p>\n

What began as an ordinary performance turned controversial after footage of the singer chanting the now-popular anti-regime slogan \u201cWantam\u201d spread across social media on Friday, May 16<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A Cryptic Post Sparks Concern<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shortly after the incident, Samidoh shared a cryptic message on his social media that stirred further concern among fans. The post, which he deleted minutes later, read in part:<\/p>\n

\u201cIn case I die unexpectedly, or before my time, I want you to know that I have lived a full and good life. Allah gave me an opportunity to travel the world, see nature at its best, meet incredible humans I was fortunate enough to share a moment with.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Although the message was removed, screenshots circulated widely, prompting worry and speculation about the singer\u2019s well-being.<\/p>\n
