How did we get here?\u201d Expressing dismay that young people, who are the backbone of the protests, were perpetrating violence, Gogo urged them not to be manipulated.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"10:1-10:220\">\u201cDon\u2019t take money to attack someone or destroy a business. They\u2019re hustling like you, with their own struggles. Someone\u2019s fighting for their future, and you harm them? That small payment for dirty work doesn\u2019t help you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"12:1-12:369\">Gogo also appealed to police officers, many of whom follow him online, to exercise restraint. \u201cTo the cops: there are protocols for handling wrongs\u2014arrest and charge, don\u2019t shoot. I saw a video of someone shot, and it could\u2019ve been anyone, just minding their business. It\u2019s devastating.\u201d He further called on officers to promote humane treatment among their colleagues.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"14:1-14:324\">Kenyans on X (formerly Twitter) responded passionately to his message. Supporters praised his stance, with comments like @NairobiVibe: \u201cMC Gogo speaking facts! Youth and police need to hear this. Let\u2019s unite for peace,\u201d and @KenyaRising: \u201cRespect to Gogo for calling out both sides. We need humanity now. #OneKenya.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"16:1-16:265\">However, critics questioned his timing and sincerity. @TruthKE commented: \u201cGogo\u2019s preaching peace, but where was he when protests started? Too late now,\u201d while @CitySkeptic added: \u201cSounds good, but influencers like him thrive on attention.
