Victoria Kimani<\/strong> has opened up about her brief yet memorable experience working in the orbit of embattled American rapper and music mogul Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong>, calling it a moment of \u201cdivine protection\u201d in hindsight.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Mic Cheque<\/strong> podcast, Kimani revealed that her encounter with Diddy stemmed from her time signed to a publishing company\u2014a setup that often allows artists and producers within the same network to collaborate freely. It was through this arrangement that she began working with Grammy-nominated producer Mario Winans<\/strong>, who eventually introduced her to Diddy\u2019s famed Daddy\u2019s House studio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t go to any freak-off. I only met him once,\u201d Kimani clarified, referencing recent allegations surrounding Diddy. \u201cI was just working with people like Mario Winans, and when you’re under the same publishing house, it\u2019s easier to collaborate. That\u2019s how I ended up in Diddy\u2019s studio.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

During that session, Kimani wrote two songs that impressed everyone present. Winans eventually invited Diddy to come in and listen to the tracks.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cHe walked in, listened to both songs, shook my hand and said, \u2018That\u2019s fire,\u2019 then walked out,\u201d she recalled. \u201cThat was the first and last time I saw him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Looking back, Kimani believes she was spared from deeper involvement for a reason.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThe Holy Spirit was protecting me,\u201d she said. \u201cHonestly, I also don\u2019t think I was his type. At the time, he was with Cassie.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Her brush with Diddy didn\u2019t end there. One of the songs she\u2019d written, titled \u201cBougie s<\/em>**\u201d*, caught Diddy\u2019s attention and he wanted Cassie<\/strong> to record it. Kimani was instructed to return to Daddy\u2019s House studio to vocal-produce the session.<\/p>\n

But fate stepped in again.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI was broke. It was raining, and I couldn\u2019t even afford the train fare,\u201d Kimani confessed. \u201cI didn\u2019t show up, and they cussed me out. But even then, I think God was protecting me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Mic Cheque hosts playfully teased that she might\u2019ve ended up with some \u201cfun stories\u201d had she made it to that session\u2014but Kimani stood firm in her belief that missing it was a blessing in disguise<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Her story takes on renewed weight amid the legal storm currently surrounding Sean Combs. In recent months, Diddy has been hit with multiple civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault, sex trafficking<\/strong>, and other serious crimes. These allegations prompted federal raids on his homes<\/strong> in Los Angeles and Miami in March 2024, intensifying public scrutiny.<\/p>\n

While Kimani\u2019s experience was short-lived, it now serves as a powerful reminder of the unseen forces that shape our paths.<\/p>\n
