Taking to Instagram following the requiem mass of Boniface Kariuki\u2014a young mask vendor who died during recent demonstrations\u2014Omondi reflected deeply on the lives lost and the future of Kenya.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"463\" data-end=\"599\">In a moving post, Omondi revealed that he lingered at the church long after the service ended, choosing a moment of solitude and prayer.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"601\" data-end=\"819\">\n<p data-start=\"603\" data-end=\"819\">\u201cI stayed behind to speak with God. I brought my supplications before HIM,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI mentioned Rex, I remembered Eric Shiani, Kennedy Onyango, Albert Ojwang, Boniface Kariuki, and the hundreds that we have lost.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"821\" data-end=\"1126\">His words come as Kenya grapples with a wave of youth-led protests triggered by economic frustrations, governance concerns, and controversial tax policies. The demonstrations have swept across the country and resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries, drawing both national and international attention.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1128\" data-end=\"1283\">Omondi, who has increasingly taken on the role of a people\u2019s advocate, offered a message anchored in spiritual conviction and unwavering belief in justice.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1285\" data-end=\"1518\">\n<p data-start=\"1287\" data-end=\"1518\">\u201cI talked to God about tomorrow, that it may be better and brighter than today. I pleaded that He may come with us, that He may go ahead of us,\u201d he shared, adding confidently, \u201cThe battle belongs to Him. ONLY VICTORY WILL BE OURS.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1520\" data-end=\"1606\">He vowed that the sacrifices made during these turbulent times would not be forgotten.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1608\" data-end=\"1755\">\n<p data-start=\"1610\" data-end=\"1755\">\u201cThere will be a new Kenya. Every blood shed, every life lost WILL NOT BE IN VAIN. Pain may endure for a night but joy will come in the morning.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1757\" data-end=\"1897\">In a rousing message to Kenya\u2019s youth\u2014especially Gen Z, who have been at the forefront of the protests\u2014Omondi called for strength and unity.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1899\" data-end=\"2021\">\n<p data-start=\"1901\" data-end=\"2021\">\u201cTo the Gen Zs, KEEP YOUR HEAD HIGH, keep fighting. God is on our side, and if HE IS FOR US then WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2023\" data-end=\"2324\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Once known solely for his comedic genius, Omondi has transformed into a powerful voice for justice and change.
