Willis Raburu\u2019s ex-wife, Marya Prude<\/strong>, has candidly reflected on the struggles she faced in rebuilding her life after their highly publicised separation.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Wind Down<\/em>, Marya revealed that the collapse of her marriage left her devastated and forced her to move back home.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWhen we got separated, I moved in with my folks. I felt like my whole world was crashing, and I didn\u2019t know who to be,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She recalled that it was her father who came to pick her up from her matrimonial home after she reached out for help, describing the moment as \u201cvery dramatic.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

Financial and Emotional Strain<\/h3>\n

Marya admitted that the divorce process took a heavy toll on her. She lived with her parents for over a year and a half, unable to afford her own place as the case dragged through the courts.<\/p>\n

She also described the unusual way she was served with divorce papers:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThis thing was sent on my WhatsApp, and I was like, \u2018Oh.\u2019 Then you have to acknowledge it. I knew it was coming, so I sent it to my lawyer. I even texted my ex and told him, \u2018I see this is the direction you\u2019ve decided to go, I respect it, and from now on communication will be through my lawyer.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Although she anticipated the divorce, receiving the papers still came as a shock.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI Married Too Young\u201d<\/h3>\n

In past interviews, Marya has admitted regretting her decision to marry at just 23 years old, saying she succumbed to societal pressure.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what I was thinking! I would be so far right now if I wasn\u2019t busy serving society and other people\u2019s expectations of me as a married woman,\u201d she once shared.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She now considers marriage \u201coverrated\u201d and no longer views it as a measure of achievement.<\/p>\n

\n

A Painful Chapter<\/h3>\n

Marya and Raburu tied the knot in May 2017 but endured tragedy when they lost their daughter in December 2019. By 2020, the marriage had broken down, eventually leading to divorce.<\/p>\n

Raburu has previously admitted that they rushed into marriage, saying he initiated the process.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cNobody goes into a marriage with hopes to come out. It was painful, and I don\u2019t wish it on anyone,\u201d the TV host once said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

Moving Forward<\/h3>\n

Today, Raburu has found stability with Ivy Namu<\/strong>, with whom he shares two children. Marya, meanwhile, continues her personal healing journey and is focusing on self-growth.<\/p>\n
