Bonfire Ventures managing director Sarah Mtalii<\/strong> has once again addressed speculation surrounding her relationship with ex-husband and business partner Simon Kabu<\/strong>, firmly denying claims that the two have reunited.<\/p>\n

The former couple, who separated in May 2024 but went public with the news in December, had shocked many when they announced the end of their marriage. Despite moving on with their lives, rumours of a reconciliation resurfaced after they were recently spotted together on a business trip for their travel company.<\/p>\n

Speaking during an interview with Milele FM\u2019s Ankali Ray<\/strong>, Sarah dismissed the chatter as misleading and harmful:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cTuliachana. I told you we separated and everyone has moved on. He has moved on, I have moved on, and we are just waiting for the court to issue the certificate. People need to stop taking us back there. These bloggers are just playing with Kenyans, and that is not good.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She revealed that the reports had even unsettled her own family.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThey are playing mind games with people, and it is not good because people like my parents got high blood pressure when they heard the news. Walipigwa na butwaa. If reconciliation ever happens\u2014which I doubt\u2014we will be the ones to announce it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When asked if she had found love again, Sarah offered a simple response: \u201cI am okay and I am very happy.\u201d<\/em> She also reassured clients that Bonfire Ventures<\/strong> remains strong, with a management team running day-to-day operations while she and Simon continue to serve as advisors.<\/p>\n

Looking Back at Her Marriage<\/h3>\n

In March 2025, Sarah gave a candid interview on TV47<\/strong>, where she opened up about the struggles in her marriage and why she delayed leaving.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI jumped into marriage with both legs. When things didn\u2019t work, I felt I had to play along because I was already seen as a role model to young couples,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Ultimately, she realised the cost of maintaining appearances was too high:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI would have died trying to inspire people and be a role model. So I said, let everyone find their own mentor. I am not going to live a double life just to appear perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

Her Changing Views on Infidelity<\/h3>\n

Sarah also sparked conversation in November 2024 when she suggested on Eve Mungai\u2019s Hey Girl<\/em> podcast that most men who cheat still love their wives, pointing out that many public figures register assets under their wives\u2019 names rather than their mistresses\u2019.<\/p>\n

She attributed infidelity to curiosity, saying, \u201cThey are just exploring. For some, it\u2019s a fetish.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

However, just a month later, she issued a heartfelt apology, walking back her comments and urging women not to remain in unfaithful marriages:<\/p>\n

\u201cWamama, tafadhali nawaomba mnisamehe. If things aren\u2019t working, it\u2019s better to leave while you still can.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

A New Chapter Focused on Peace<\/h3>\n
