The Machakos County Government<\/strong> has officially hit back at comedian Oga Obinna<\/strong>, demanding hard evidence to support claims made on The Obinna Show Live<\/em> that the county owes fellow comedian Sammy Kioko<\/strong> unpaid money for services rendered.<\/p>\n

The move comes after a viral episode of the show, aired on November 10, 2025<\/strong>, titled \u201cWhen Politics Crushes Dreams | Sammy Kioko\u2019s Heartbreaking Story.\u201d<\/em>
In the emotional interview, Kioko claimed that he had successfully completed a county project but was never paid \u2014 a situation he blamed on political interference and bureaucracy.<\/p>\n

The episode sparked massive online outrage, with fans rallying behind Kioko and calling out county officials for alleged corruption and neglect.<\/p>\n

\n

County Demands Proof<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In a letter dated November 12, 2025<\/strong>, and shared by Obinna on his Facebook page, Machakos County Solicitor Juliet Nthambi<\/strong> dismissed the allegations as false and misleading<\/em>, accusing Obinna of spreading unverified claims that damaged the county\u2019s image.<\/p>\n

The letter, addressed to Steve Thompson Magana<\/strong> (Obinna\u2019s legal name), demanded that the comedian provide documented proof of Kioko\u2019s alleged dealings with the county \u2014 including contracts, invoices, delivery notes, or payment vouchers.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThe said Sammy Kioko is not a registered supplier with the County Government of Machakos,\u201d the letter read. \u201cHe does not appear as a director or contact person in any company supplying goods or services to the county.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Nthambi further stated that no contract or procurement record exists linking Kioko to any county transaction and accused Obinna of hosting a \u201csensational and baseless\u201d discussion.<\/p>\n

\n

Legal Warning to Obinna<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The letter went on to warn that failure to produce evidence could lead to legal action.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cYour show and the discussion therein were made out of ignorance of facts and the law in respect to procurement and contracts,\u201d it stated, reminding Obinna that only prequalified, registered companies can conduct business with the county.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The solicitor added that third parties \u2014 such as Kioko \u2014 have no legal authority<\/em> to represent registered suppliers in contractual matters.<\/p>\n

Obinna Reacts with Disbelief<\/strong><\/h3>\n

True to form, Obinna responded to the letter with a mix of shock and humour.<\/p>\n
