With the rise of social media \u2014 especially platforms like TikTok \u2014 people living with HIV are reclaiming their stories and choosing visibility over shame.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"525\" data-end=\"814\">Short, candid videos now feature individuals sharing their diagnoses, describing the moment they learned their status, showing how they manage treatment, and demonstrating that life not only continues \u2014 it can thrive. What was once whispered in secrecy is increasingly being told out loud.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"1082\">In Kenya and beyond, young people are at the forefront of this transformation. Reports show many Gen-Z Kenyans speak openly about HIV as part of their identity \u2014 not seeking sympathy, but solidarity. They want others walking the same path to know they are not alone.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1084\" data-end=\"1087\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1089\" data-end=\"1134\"><strong data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1134\">Lydia Vera: Turning Pain Into Purpose<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1386\">Among the most influential voices in this movement is TikToker Lydia Vera, whose raw vulnerability has earned her widespread respect.
