For several minutes, he remained prostrated on the grave, whispering what seemed to be final words to his brother.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1274\" data-end=\"1450\">\u201cSo, my home is literally 10 minutes to Busia town. Last evening, I stopped by to pay homage to a LEGEND before we got to Busia,\u201d he wrote while sharing the sombre clip online.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"7c2anv\" data-start=\"1452\" data-end=\"1480\">The Legacy of Fred Omondi<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1482\" data-end=\"1681\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Fred Omondi<\/span><\/span>, who was also a respected comedian, died tragically in June 2024 after being involved in an early-morning road accident in <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Nairobi<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1683\" data-end=\"1863\">His sudden passing sent shockwaves through Kenya\u2019s entertainment industry, leaving his brother, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Eric Omondi<\/span><\/span>, carrying forward the family\u2019s comedic legacy.<\/p>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1npk4zz\" data-start=\"1865\" data-end=\"1887\">Walking for a Cause<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1889\" data-end=\"2046\">The emotional visit came during Omondi\u2019s ambitious five-day charity walk from <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Nairobi<\/span><\/span> to <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Busia<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2048\" data-end=\"2231\">The 466-kilometre trek was organised to raise funds for the <strong data-start=\"2108\" data-end=\"2148\">Sisi Kwa Sisi Help and Rescue Centre<\/strong>, a project aimed at providing free healthcare and education to vulnerable Kenyans.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2233\" data-end=\"2328\">According to Omondi, the initiative is partly inspired by the memory of loved ones he has lost.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2330\" data-end=\"2606\">Despite the physical strain of the long walk, he has remained committed to the cause.
