Speaking during a candid conversation with Wonder Jr<\/span><\/span> in an episode aired on April 6, 2026, Kansiime shared that the turning point came after an interview she gave while in Nairobi.<\/p>\n

A question that changed everything<\/strong>
She recalled being asked where she saw herself in five years\u2014an inquiry that made her realise her then-husband was not part of that vision.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember I had just come back from Nairobi, and someone had asked me during an interview where I see myself in five years, and he was not there where I was seeing myself,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The question lingered in her mind, eventually prompting her to initiate a serious conversation about the future of their marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt had been on my head, and I sat, and I told him we needed to talk,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kansiime said she expressed her doubts about the relationship, but her husband\u2019s response left her feeling misunderstood.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe told me, \u2018Anne, not everything is comedy\u2026 you are married, you do not wake up and say you do not feel like.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She admitted that his reaction made her realise he did not recognise when she was being serious, a moment she says marked a turning point for her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI snapped out of it\u2026 I was like, \u2018So this guy does not know when I am serious?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Following the conversation, she chose to withdraw and reflect before eventually moving on from the marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cI then kept quiet and moved on,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Paying her own dowry<\/strong>
Kansiime also shared another surprising detail about her past relationship, revealing that she once paid her own bride price.<\/p>\n

After introducing her partner to her parents\u2014who accepted him and requested dowry\u2014she said he failed to follow through, prompting her to take matters into her own hands.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey asked him to bring a dowry, which he didn\u2019t bring\u2026 I paid it myself,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to Kansiime, both she and her partner eventually moved past the issue and continued with life.<\/p>\n

Kansiime was previously married to Gerald Ojok<\/span><\/span> for about four years before their separation around 2017. She later found love again with fellow artist Skylanta<\/span><\/span> in 2018, and the two share a child.<\/p>\n
