Prophet Victor Kanyari<\/span><\/span>, the leader of Salvation Healing Ministry, has stirred debate after cautioning his congregation against envying the lifestyle of the super-rich.<\/p>\n

According to the controversial preacher, life in luxury is not always as glamorous as it appears.<\/p>\n

A Surprising Experience in Runda<\/h3>\n

Kanyari recently moved into a high-end mansion in Runda<\/span><\/span>, one of Nairobi\u2019s most exclusive neighbourhoods. The property, reportedly worth KSh 90 million, features modern amenities including a swimming pool.<\/p>\n

However, despite the prestige, he revealed that he became bored just two days after moving in.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have bought a very decent house with all amenities\u2026 I have stayed there for two days and I got bored,\u201d he told his congregation.<\/p>\n

\u201cLuxury Can Be Lonely\u201d<\/h3>\n

The preacher explained that the quiet, gated environment of Runda was a sharp contrast to the lively atmosphere he was used to in other parts of Nairobi.<\/p>\n

He described the experience as isolating, warning that wealth without social connection can feel empty.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo not desire the life of wealth; it is a lonely life. It is better to have that money but eat with the people of Dandora and Githurai,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Missing the Everyday Lifestyle<\/h3>\n

Kanyari also pointed out the absence of everyday social experiences in the upscale neighbourhood. He said he missed the vibrant street life found in estates such as Dandora<\/span><\/span>, Githurai<\/span><\/span>, and Kayole<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

From local street foods like mutura and mshikaki to the lively interactions with residents, he said the sense of community was lacking in the affluent area.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn Runda, there is no mutura\u2026 nobody calls you \u2018Mheshimiwa\u2019 there,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n

Return to Familiar Ground<\/h3>\n

Despite showcasing the mansion through his daughter\u2019s platforms, Kanyari admitted that the pull of his former lifestyle was stronger.<\/p>\n

He revealed that shortly after settling in, he chose to leave and return to Kayole, where he feels more connected and comfortable.<\/p>\n

\u201cI told the driver, \u2018I am going back to Kayole. It is good here,\u2019\u201d he recounted.<\/p>\n

A Message to Followers<\/h3>\n
