{"id":234296,"date":"2026-05-08T08:59:58","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T05:59:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/?p=234296"},"modified":"2026-05-08T09:00:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T06:00:08","slug":"the-following-areas-ar-to-be-affected-by-scheduled-power-maintenance-by-kplc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/the-following-areas-ar-to-be-affected-by-scheduled-power-maintenance-by-kplc\/","title":{"rendered":"The following areas ar to be affected by scheduled power maintenance by KPLC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"184\">Residents and businesses in parts of Nairobi should prepare for planned electricity interruptions on Friday, May 8, 2026, as scheduled maintenance works get underway in selected areas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"186\" data-end=\"297\">The planned outage will affect sections of Kilimani, Ngong Road and Imara Daima between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"zr95fr\" data-start=\"299\" data-end=\"346\">Areas affected in Kilimani and Ngong Road<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"347\" data-end=\"500\">According to the maintenance notice, customers in parts of Kilimani Road and Ngong Road will experience temporary power interruptions throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"502\" data-end=\"705\">Areas expected to be affected include parts of Elgeyo Marakwet Road, Kilimani Road, Ngong Road, Ndemi Road, Suna Road, Adams Arcade, Green House, Kirichwa Road, Menelik Road and sections of Muringa Road.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"707\" data-end=\"961\">Several residential apartments, offices, businesses and institutions will also be impacted, including Nairobi Women Hospital, KISM offices on Ngong Road, Quickmart Kilimani, Morning Office Park, Ndemi Gardens, Jadala Investment and surrounding customers.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1ykzhme\" data-start=\"963\" data-end=\"1004\">Imara Daima residents also affected<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1005\" data-end=\"1145\">In <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Imara Daima<\/span><\/span>, the outage is expected to affect parts of Villa Franca Estate and nearby residential developments.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1427\">Among the locations listed are Tashcom Supermarket, Tsavo Gardens Apartments, Valeries Place, Scion Hospital, Elegant Apartments, Kenwood Court, Southern Apartments, Kings Millennium, Mukuru Health Centre, Kingswood Park Estate and Think Twice Imara, alongside adjacent customers.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"tyg6yy\" data-start=\"1429\" data-end=\"1466\">Residents advised to plan ahead<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1467\" data-end=\"1607\">The maintenance exercise is part of routine efforts aimed at improving power reliability and infrastructure stability in the affected areas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1609\" data-end=\"1827\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Residents and businesses have been advised to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled interruption, especially those relying on electricity for commercial operations, healthcare services and remote work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Residents and businesses in parts of Nairobi should prepare for planned electricity interruptions on Friday, May 8, 2026, as scheduled maintenance works get underway in selected areas.
